In terms of Islam, the use of scent machines, especially devices that work with diffusion technology, is generally considered appropriate. It is known that the Prophet (PBUH) encouraged the use of pleasant scents and that pleasant scents are Sunnah. However, the content of the scents used is important. Alcohol-based scents may be considered controversial by some sects, so alcohol-free natural essences should be preferred.
Scent machines that work with diffusion technology disperse the scent into microscopic particles and generally use natural essences. Such devices can create a harmless atmosphere with alcohol-free formulas. Therefore, when the content and purpose of use are taken into account, compliance with the Islamic religion can be achieved.
